Mind Craft - AM Tuesday 17th April
Our Mind Craft Workshop is a fantastic opportunity for young kids to engage in creative and visual arts activities, along with mindfulness meditation and yoga, to learn how to develop a calm mind set and regulate emotions.
The classes are run by our Mind Craft Teacher, Hayley. Hayley is a registered Art Therapist, Counsellor and Group Facilitator. She has a Masters of Art Therapy and a Graduate Diploma in Counselling from Western Sydney University, and is accredited with the Australia and New Zealand Arts Therapy Association (ANZATA). Hayley is also a NESA accredited Visual Arts Teacher, with over ten years-experience teaching in primary, high schools, and special needs schools,
Hayley is passionate about using art therapy, mindfulness and strength based approaches to help her clients to create resilience, find joy, and improve and enhance their physical, social, mental, and emotional wellbeing. She believes that by providing clients with a safe, supportive, non-judgemental space, and building a positive therapeutic alliance between client, art, and therapist, clients can learn to use art therapy to improve self-esteem and self-confidence, develop interpersonal skills, manage challenging behaviours and difficult emotions, reduce stress and anxiety, resolve conflicts, develop coping skills, achieve insights and improve personal growth.
Our Mind Craft Workshop is a half day program that runs from 9:30am-12:30pm on Wednesday 17th January.
Children will need to bring along some morning tea for the day.
